Parents,
I hope this holiday season is filled with special times for your family. At school we will be busy with learning about " Holidays Around the World". Our Winter Break will be Friday, December 21 until school resumes on Wednesday, January 2. Please be safe during your holiday celebrations, and I look forward to seeing everyone after the break.

November 2012
Parents,
We have some exciting events coming up in November, starting with the Boosterthon race on Thursday, November 15th at 10:30. The track the children will be running on is quite a bit smaller than our regular track. Each child will probably run 25 to 35 laps. If you pledge $1.00 a lap, then you will owe $25.00 to 35.00. This money will be used to purchase new smartboards for our new school.Feel free to come watch us run!
On November 28th, we will have an in-house field trip about Native Americans. It is an awesome presentation, involving dancing to music and dressing up in Native American clothes. The children always love it! Please send in your $5.00 if you have not already sent it in. I'm sorry, it will have to be cash, the school will not accept checks for this.
I hope all of you have a wonderful, peaceful Thanksgiving holiday.

We have been busy in October! We have been learning the rules of Daily Five, which is the new organizational tool of our language arts program. We are up to 14 minutes of silent reading! Ask your child what this is.
Gus The Bus visited us on Friday, October 12th. We really enjoyed talking to Gus, and he helped us remember safety rules for the bus. Look for something in your child's homework folder about Gus The Bus.
